Another Note device that is “noteworthy”! Samsung S10 Plus is one of the best phones available in today’s tech market. There is a 5G version as well, which is slightly costly.
Design
The 6.8 inches infinity-o display on the Note 10 plus with a punch hole camera and thinnest bezels around is the prettiest device you will see in the market. Aura Glow, Aura Black and Aura Red options for the back adds to the beauty. Gorilla glass 6 at the front and back makes sure the phone is well protected. But your fingerprints might be a concern to the “back beauty” of your phone. You might want to use a cover!
Similar to Note 10, the Note 10 plus also has the volume and power buttons on the left. The power button can also be used to launch Bixby.
Samsung has removed the headphone jack from Note 10 Plus but gives you the microSD card slot option. Samsung has also included the USB Type-C AKG headphones in the box (much appreciated)!
The phone has a quad-camera setup at the back with three sensors in a unit and an additional sensor with the LED flash. The IP68 certification is a stamp that the phone is water/dust resistant. The phone comes with a 25W fast charger and it supports wireless charging as well.
Display
The Note 10 Plus display is one of the best displays in town. It is bright and the colors are perfectly balanced.
The AMOLED display is a QHD+ screen with a resolution of 3,040 x 1,440 (at 498 pixels per inch) and is HDR10+ certified. Samsung claims that the brightness can cross 1000 nits when boosted in certain circumstances! You will never be able to get over this magnificent screen!
S-Pen
The S-Pen is same in both Note 10 and Note 10 Plus with same features and gimmicks! So, you will able to convert your handwriting into a text, click pictures and use air actions for gimmicks! The S-Pen is also IP68 certified.
Camera
The camera set-up on the Note 10 Plus is similar to that of Note 10. But the plus model has more sensors which naturally makes it a better camera than the Note 10.
The main camera is a 12-megapixel shooter with f/1.5-f/2.4. The telephoto camera is a 12-megapixel f/2.1 and ultra-wide camera is 16-megapixel f/2.2.
The night mode on Note 10 Plus is amazing. You will find a lot of details and minimal noise even in the darkest pictures. The optical image stabilization ensures that the videos are “super-steady”. The only disappointing feature might be the bokeh mode for shooting videos. Samsung has to do some work in that department. Overall, it is an amazing camera and can give serious competition to other premium smartphone cameras.
Battery
Battery on the Note 10 Plus is bigger than Note 10 and sits at 4300 mAh. The battery is same for both normal and 5G versions. The huge battery will get you through a day of usage. If you are a light user, you might be able to stretch the battery life for 2 days! But for heavy users, you might have to charge the phone in the night!
Unfortunately, there is no 45W charger as you would expect in a premium offering like the Note 10 Plus. But, the 25W charger is good enough and would charge your phone completely in just over an hour.
Tech Specs
Now, for the boring parts. The Note 10 Plus uses the same chipset as the Note 10 (Snapdragon 855/Exynos 9825). The phone is packed with 12 GB RAM and storage options to chose from 256 GB or 512 GB.
Verdict
Yes, yes, yes! You should absolutely buy if you don’t have a budget constraint and want to be on the top of the tech game. The amazing screen, camera and battery life makes it a worthy phone. But, if you are budget conscious, try Note 10 instead.
